Hi, I'm Erin!
an Integrative Registered Dietitian
with a deep desire for knowledge, an empathetic soul and a spunky personality.
I help people find their own inner magic through fat loss and their weight management journey, while building sustainable lifestyle changes, achieving optimal health and having fun along the way.
After receiving my biology degree from Salem State University, I went on to work in the Neuroendocrine research lab at Massachusetts General Hospital. Working in medical research inspired me to want to make a difference for people BEFORE disease occurred, at the preventative health stage. This lead me to get my Masters in Science in Nutrition and Health Promotion at Simmons University and become a Registered Dietitian.

I spent two years working as Head Dietitian at a medically supervised weight loss clinic where I gained extensive experience working with a range of age populations and disease states within the context of the disease of obesity and lifestyle medicine. I saw first hand the limitations of the conventional medicine model in truly helping people achieve behavior change, lose fat and manage their weight for life. I knew I could offer people more.

I am currently in training to become certified in functional nutritional lab testing as a way to take a root-cause approach to obesity and excess unwanted weight gain and help people achieve optimal health and wellness.
Like so many, I've spent a large portion of my life struggling with weight and trying to self soothe through a bag of Doritos. For years, I had a complicated relationship with my own weight and followed every diet I could get my hands on.

I felt lost and confused and never understood why none of them seemed to work.

What was wrong with me? I thought.

I hated my body because I felt it was betraying me. I constantly viewed myself as two halves, and I would look in the mirror at my “ugly half” with disgust.

I would swear off every “bad” food, and be FOR REAL this time, and punish myself when these completely unsustainable (and scientifically inaccurate) ways of trying to achieve fat loss wouldn’t stick.

Sound familiar?

Through years of studying the science of the human body, nutrition, health and behavior change I learned how to manage my weight, find my whole self and finally achieve a healthy lifestyle. I figured out how to use the science of my metabolism, regulate my nervous system, and adopt a health’tality aka a mentality of health beyond just our mindset, for real fat loss. FOR LIFE.
This is exactly what I teach people to do for themselves and come back to (or find for the first time) the health & wellness they desire through 1:1 coaching and my online programs.
My nutrition approach is rooted in fueling for metabolic health.
I firmly believe weight management is highly individualized. While the concepts of food and nutrient components in those foods are constant...how we each approach food choices, the specific areas of weight management we may need help with, our life philosophy, and what's important to our lifestyles, are all different.

This is why when I discuss nutrition and weight, we talk about things differently. You are a human system, and our bodies work in this way - we cannot talk in isolation about certain aspects of trying to achieve health and wellness without taking all parts of ourself into consideration. Mind, body & spirit.
